NootedRed is a Lilu plugin that enables AMD Vega and RDNA integrated GPU support on macOS, providing hardware acceleration and display output for AMD iGPUs.

Overview

AMD Vega and RDNA integrated GPUs (such as those found in AMD Ryzen APUs) are not natively supported by macOS. NootedRed patches the AMD GPU driver stack to enable hardware acceleration and display output for these integrated GPUs, making it possible to use AMD iGPU-based systems with macOS.

Installation

  1. Install Lilu first
  2. Download the latest release from GitHub
  3. Copy NootedRed.kext to EFI/OC/Kexts/
  4. Add the kext to your config.plist under Kernel > Add
  5. Ensure Lilu is loaded before NootedRed
  6. Reboot your system
