FAQ
Do I need the Preferences Pane?
It’s not strictly required — VoodooHDA works without it using default settings. However, the Preferences Pane makes it much easier to adjust audio settings without manually editing the kext’s Info.plist.
Is this included with the VoodooHDA installer?
The VoodooHDA .pkg installer (available on SourceForge) includes both the kext and the Preferences Pane. The standalone .prefPane download is for users who installed the kext separately.
