IntelBluetoothFirmware

IntelBluetoothFirmware is a kernel extension that uploads Intel Wireless Bluetooth firmware to provide native Bluetooth support in macOS. Firmware binaries are sourced from the Linux kernel project. The same repository also ships IntelBTPatcher.kext for Monterey+ Bluetooth fixes.

Installation

1. Download from GitHub
2. Copy IntelBluetoothFirmware.kext to EFI/OC/Kexts/
3. For macOS 10.15 Catalina and later, also copy IntelBTPatcher.kext to EFI/OC/Kexts/
4. Add the kexts to your config.plist under Kernel > Add
5. Ensure IntelBluetoothFirmware.kext is loaded before IntelBTPatcher.kext
6. Reboot your system
