RestrictEvents

RestrictEvents is a Lilu plugin that blocks unwanted processes and unlocks features that are restricted to specific Mac hardware models, such as proper CPU naming and certain system features.

Overview

macOS restricts certain features and processes to specific Mac models. On Hackintosh systems, these restrictions can prevent access to features that would otherwise work fine on the hardware. RestrictEvents patches the system to block unwanted background processes and unlock model-restricted features, including proper CPU branding in About This Mac and access to features limited to specific Mac models.

Features

  • Process Blocking: Blocks unwanted system processes that cause issues on Hackintosh
  • Feature Unlocking: Unlocks features restricted to specific Mac hardware models
  • CPU Naming: Fixes CPU brand string display in About This Mac
  • System Compatibility: Improves overall system compatibility on non-Apple hardware
  • Lilu Integration: Built on the Lilu patching framework
