OpenCore Configurator

Note

This is a utility tool, NOT a kext. It does not need to be installed in your EFI.

OpenCore Configurator is a macOS native GUI application for editing OpenCore config.plist files. It provides a visual interface for all OpenCore settings with built-in validation and documentation.

  • Drag and Drop: Reorder entries with drag and drop

FAQ

OpenCore Configurator vs ProperTree?

ProperTree is a general plist editor with OC Snapshot. Itโ€™s open-source, cross-platform, and doesnโ€™t modify your plist in unexpected ways. OpenCore Configurator is macOS-only and provides a more guided experience with validation and documentation. Both are valid choices โ€” use whichever you prefer.

Is OpenCore Configurator safe?

OpenCore Configurator is widely used in the Hackintosh community. However, itโ€™s closed-source. Some users prefer ProperTree because itโ€™s open-source and doesnโ€™t make unexpected changes to the plist. Always keep backups of your config.plist.
