Kryptonite

Kryptonite is a Lilu plugin that provides patches for FileVault and encryption-related functionality on macOS, enabling full disk encryption support on Hackintosh systems.

Overview

FileVault is macOS’s built-in full disk encryption feature. On Hackintosh systems, FileVault may not work properly due to hardware differences in how the encryption keys are stored and managed. Kryptonite patches the encryption subsystem to enable FileVault functionality, allowing Hackintosh users to benefit from full disk encryption for data security.

Installation

1. Install Lilu first
2. Download the latest release from GitHub
3. Copy Kryptonite.kext to EFI/OC/Kexts/
4. Add the kext to your config.plist under Kernel > Add
5. Ensure Lilu is loaded before Kryptonite
6. Reboot your system
