HeliPort

Note

This is a utility tool, NOT a kext. It does not need to be installed in your EFI.

HeliPort is a macOS menu bar application for managing Intel WiFi connections on Hackintosh systems. It provides a native-like WiFi management interface when using the itlwm kext.

Overview

The itlwm kext creates a virtual network interface for Intel WiFi, but doesnโ€™t provide a native WiFi menu bar interface. HeliPort fills this gap by providing a familiar WiFi management UI in the macOS menu bar, similar to what real Macs have.

Features

  • WiFi Scanning: Scan for available WiFi networks
  • Network Management: Connect, disconnect, and manage WiFi networks
  • Signal Strength: Display signal strength for available networks
  • Auto-Connect: Automatically connect to known networks
  • Menu Bar Interface: Native macOS menu bar integration

Installation

  1. Download the latest release from GitHub
  2. Open the downloaded DMG file
  3. Drag HeliPort to your Applications folder
  4. Launch HeliPort โ€” it will appear in your menu bar

Requirements

  • itlwm kext must be installed and loaded
  • macOS 10.14 (Mojave) or later

Does HeliPort work with AirportItlwm?

No. HeliPort is designed to work with itlwm only. AirportItlwm has its own native WiFi management.
