AlpsHID

AlpsHID is a touchpad driver for Alps I2C touchpads, using the VoodooI2C multitouch engine. It provides trackpoint support and gesture recognition for Alps touchpads found in many laptops.

Installation

  1. Download from GitHub
  2. Copy AlpsHID.kext to EFI/OC/Kexts/
  3. Ensure VoodooI2C and VoodooInput are also installed
  4. Add the kext to your config.plist under Kernel > Add
  5. Reboot your system
  • VoodooI2C - Required I2C bus driver
  • VoodooInput - Required multitouch handler
  • VoodooPS2 - PS2 device driver (alternative for PS2 Alps touchpads)
